When you use Cyd, you login to your X account in an embedded browser and then Cyd does your bidding: it scrolls around clicking stuff for you, saving you countless hours of time. But it turns out, when it comes to deleting tens of thousands of tweets, even doing this as fast as it possibly can, it's still quite slow. You might need to leave Cyd running on your computer for several days solid to finish deleting everything.
But that's changed. The new version of Cyd, released today, is significantly faster.
It's a bit like watching my early online life flash before my eyes

Before, it had to do this for each tweet:
- Wait for the tweet to load (which triggers rate limits)
- Click the menu icon and wait
- Click the delete button and wait
- Click the confirm button and wait
Now, it's reduced to a single step for each tweet:
- Send the delete tweet command
Deleting retweets and likes are also now a gazillion times faster.
So if Cyd has been slowly chugging along, then update to the newest version and try again. It should automatically prompt you to update, but you can also manually check for updates by clicking the menu icon in the bottom-left and choosing "Check for updates."
Cyd is approximately a bazillion times faster now
If Cyd has been slowly chugging away at deleting your thousands upon thousands of tweets, upgrade to the newest version. It will FLY through your old data.
